Why I am the agent I am: After teaching mathematics in Minnesota for 14 years I wanted to go through a different kind of adventure with those that I help, and oooooo the NUMBERS! In real estate I love working with buyers and sellers that have a goal price, a goal payment, or just want a home and are open to listening to all of my home-buying stats. Mathematics is a subject that can leave many students stressed, nervous, and second guessing steps that are typically the correct ones, searching for or selling a home can feel the same. As a teacher I enjoyed helping students find what worked for THEM- methods, strategies, an area that clicked of an otherwise intimidating subject- my approach to real estate is much the same. You are going to have moments of stress and worry, EXTREME joy and EXCITEMENT as well, I hope to help you focus on the positives and your goals. Much like school, buying and selling a home is different for everyone, therefore my approach as your advocate, ally, and guide will vary depending on YOUR needs and wants. I work hard, I answer my phone and e-mails, our time is important and using it efficiently can make the difference between an accepted offer and a missed opportunity, so KNOW that I will work with and for you to help you reach your real estate goals.
Why I live where I live: I was born and raised in St. Paul, MN, the HEART of St. Paul. Selby & Dale looked different in the 80's, but those sidewalks were the connection to each park, the Science Museum, the YMCA, Linwood rec center, "Rocket Park", Como Zoo, wow has it all changed! I spent my teenage years in Chisago County getting to know the lakes, dirt roads, dogs, sculpture gardens, and some incredible camp grounds (I never jumped off the cliffs in Taylors Falls, only canoed nearby). I am one of 9 kids so camping was a MUST, rivers and lakes with lots of pan fish were as well. My family eventually ended up in Cottage Grove, MN and I began to learn to LOVE the Lower St. Croix River Valley. UW-River Falls is where I earned my degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, along with taking EVERY art course I could fit in and hiking every trail along the Kinnickinnic River I could find. And so, my love for the St. Croix Valley was solidified. My husband and I stayed in River Falls for several years, eventually moving back to MN, then BACK to the east side of the St. Croix in 2015. You will get hooked on the trees, on the little hidden river access points, the 'local favorites', the locals. I found a land I LOVE and hope to help each person do the same.
